Beautitides

The First Beatitude
Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. (Matthew 5:3)
and
[...] Blessed be ye poor: for yours is the kingdom of God. (Luke 6:20)

The Second Beatitude
Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted. (Matthew 5:4)
and
[...] Blessed are ye that weep now: for ye shall laugh. (Luke 6:21)

The Third Beatitude
Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth. (Matthew 5:5)
It is very clear that this Beatitude rephrases Psalm 37:11 (Ps.36:11 in the Septuagint ):
But the meek shall inherit the earth [...]

The Fourth Beatitude
Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness:
for they shall be filled. (Matthew 5:6)
and
Blessed are ye that hunger now: for ye shall be filled. (Luke 6:21)

The Fifth Beatitude
Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy. (Matthew 5:7)

The Sixth Beatitude
Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God. (Matthew 5:8)

The Seventh Beatitude
Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God [Te, hyioi Theou, sons of God]. (Matthew 5:9)

The Eighth Beatitude
Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness' sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. (Matthew 5:10)

The Ninth Beatitude
Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake. Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you. (Matthew 5:11-12)
and

Blessed are ye, when men shall hate you, and when they shall separate you from their company and shall reproach you, and cast out your name as evil, for the Son of man's sake./ Rejoice ye in that day, and leap for joy: for, behold, your reward is great in heaven: for in the like manner did their fathers unto the prophets. (Luke 6:22-23).
