A Teaching for the Sensitive Intuitive in Training

Environmental conditions can often produce a hyper-sensitive empath. When  I came into the world aware in-vitro, I acquired a hyper-vigilant survival mechanism of empathically and psychically needing to connect with everyone around me to gauge their behavior / mood / thought patterns, thus strengthening my "intuitive muscles" over time - making me a good intuitive.

Some are asking how to even recognize their own psychic abilities. I want to speak to this and go into greater detail plus give a few pointers. Then I want to address in this article what makes a good intuitive good.

In today's article, it's important to address the concept of veils or as some people call them, blocks. When you consider the myriad layers or realms of realities that surround us in our waking walking life it is a blessing to be sure that we even have veils. We can be thankful for our veils and the important task or role they play in our lives.

Veils are wonderful because when we can master them we can lift them at will to take a peek into other spaces and places. If we didn't have these natural built-in veils we would have a difficult time deciphering the layers or realms surrounding us, trying to differentiate between what is "our reality" and what is "another reality". There are those of us who are capable of 'seeing' for example several people sitting at a table yet we only see one person. Others are sitting there at the table with one person present, yet many are there. Some can actually see everyone there and to them, they all look 'real' and cannot seem to tell them apart from one another. I've associated this lack of veils or the ability to veil with those who are schizophrenic. I have run this concept/theory past psychotherapists, psychologists and psychics in the industry - all who thought my theory was plausible and a good explanation.

Lending further credibility to my theory is the article posted on Melbourne University's website about a University of Melbourne team who examined a group of people deemed to be at ultra high risk of developing psychosis and found those that went on to develop schizophrenia, rather than other forms of psychosis, all displayed the inability to identify smells. This deficit was present before the onset of any significant clinical symptoms of psychosis.¹

In my opinion and my findings about the nose itself, this observation makes sense. If a person had their veils in place they would also have a sense of smell. The old adages "the nose knows", "follow your nose", "it's right under your nose", "I smell a rat", "sniff out danger", and so on all lend a sense that we are using our olfactory extrasensory perceptive tool to facilitate or assist our inner knowing or perception. Without this, we are more prone to having our veils not only lifted but permanently damaged/removed. When I think about people who have rhinoplasty I have to wonder if they eventually suffer from something similar. Or perhaps this might cripple their nose's ability to not only smell the scents of the world as they had pre-surgery but also to sense the world around them.

Can Veils be Misused?

If veils are used properly or identified they can clearly delineate the start/stop points of a reality or realm. They can be rather subtle and if I can attempt an explanation here, I will. (More on this later.) Some however look at veils and call them blockages, blocks or barriers to their own psychic abilities. I feel these are nothing more than beliefs or systems that are 'bought into' in order for us to feel we are not or cannot connect. Strangely, the belief that we are not connected is a misnomer - we are always connected no matter what we try and do. It is not possible to not be connected.

It definitely can be much easier to allow our own baggage or blocks to keep us from knowing. We must not confuse being veiled with being blocked as these are two different things altogether.

How to Discern the Start/Stop Point of a Particular Veil

The extra sensory perception tool I use most is actually my nose. In the ancient art of Jin Shin Jyutsu, a 5000 year old modality similar in some ways to acupressure recognizes in its main central flow, the nose as a point on the path. Truly, the nose knows. The nose appears to act as a sort of inner antennae. Generally, unless your nose is tiny, your nose is the first body part that leads you into a new space physically as well as metaphysically. I observe myself during a reading with a client and catch myself inclining my head in a particular direction, sometimes its to hear the words being spoken to me or to catch a particular feeling being relayed, and yet all the time I am following my nose's sensibility and trusting my built-in guidance systems to lead me in the right direction.

Traversing From Veil to Veil

When we get into the space of traveling through the spaces there are a couple considerations: being in the veil and being between veils for starters. To be in one is to be engaged, simply put, in some form of communication or communion with another. To be between veils is to be taking focus off one space and placing it on another space. In a way it is like traveling on earth. We want to take a trip to Hawaii , we have to drive to the airport, hop a plane and travel thousands of miles until we reach our destination airport, and from there we hit the beaches. Within a veil there are many worlds or realms right in the same veil; there are veils within veils; like there are in an airport - within the airport there are shops, stores, malls, bathrooms, luggage area, check-in counters, video play rooms, all these spaces within one place, and of course the airport is within a city limit that has many other places to visit besides the airport itself. When traveling meta-physically you can really have a lot of fun discovering new places and meeting new people.

Getting from veil to veil feels as if you are simply placing your attention to another space. That is the gist of it really. If you get to the point of trusting that what you are seeing and experiencing is real and not an illusion then you will be just fine. It is those folks who distrust what their inner eye, or third eye, reveals; they trip themselves up by doubt and then confusion sets in. Stay clear and trust yourself, then simply turn your attention to another space and you are there.

Can One Get Lost in the Veils?

I once was experiencing an OBE (out of body experience) several years back when this was quite new to me. I laid there quite relaxed and unaware of what was happening. Suddenly I found myself separating from myself in a way that was very strange. I felt light and as if my real self was being pumped into a giant Macy's Day Parade balloon. This part of me was floating above my body like a balloon of higher consciousness. I felt waves of rushing relaxed kundalini warmth at the same time. Feeling secure I continued filling this giant etheric balloon not really knowing what was going to happen and so I remained quite curious throughout the process.

After a time I felt as if I was getting ready to do something more than just float above myself. It was then that I became afraid and thought I would lose myself in some way, the self on the bed. In a panic I quickly returned to my body on the bed.

After reflecting on this some time later, I realized how important it was to recognize that there were indeed tethers of silver cord connecting my physical body on the bed and the floating version of myself.

What is really important to remember is that while exploring veils you may think you could get lost but in fact you are never away from yourself. Nevertheless, if you remain timid try concentrating or focusing on the silver cord of connection that always exists between your higher consciousness self and your physical body, and actually connects with your other bodies (i.e., epikinetic, electromagnetic, and so on).

An Early Experience From a Budding Intuitive

Hello Dear Friends,

The following is a very personal story of one of the early experiences I had as a budding intuitive/psychic. All of the this actually happened - the tragedy, the shock, the wonder, everything. It's my hope that this inspires you to a greater understanding of what I do and how I do it. I am happy to share this delicate story yet please understand that I am carefully sharing this to avoid privacy infringement, so all references, names and location are changed or removed entirely to protect those involved.

How the Story Came to Be

This story occurred some years ago when a friend added my name and email address to the "Healium List"; which is a tongue-in-cheek play on words but the list primarily contained psychics and healers from all over. One day I received an email from a doctor out east who practiced in the western medicine tradition asking those on the Healium List for assistance.

A medical physician had a female patient who was confounding him as well as others in the medical field, specialists and so on. The doctor gave the name of the patient and asked all on the list to check this person out because he was at his wits end and felt like this was his last resort - to turn to the psychic community for insight.

Dear Friends,

        This is Adam Rose writing to request a psychic diagnosis with regard to
Lora O'Terry (32) presently in the hospital of the Medical College.

        Lora is a mother of 4 young children who came here with her husband
just before Christmas after having been ill since April of this year. Her
condition has been deteriorating steadily and the doctors are puzzled.

        My old patent attorney friend in his 80's (from whom I did not expect
this) suggested we seek a psychic diagnosis so I found this list of
healers and sent this message to a number of you in the hopes that one or
more will do some kind of a reading and let us know what your psychic
perceptions might be so we can ask the doctors to check that possibility.

        Some urgency is called for at this time.

        Lora and family are presently on welfare as she has not been able to
work or care for the children for some months but both she and her
husband are very willing, hard workers concerned for the future of our
planet. They are here without charge.

My Initial Reading and Response

I read the email from Mr. Rose and sat there for a moment wondering if I should help, you see I wasn't exactly strongly into a practice at that point in time and my confidence was slim; yet, something inside of me said I should just do it. So, I did. I sat there, hit REPLY, and began typing.

In my mind, I saw this woman flipping switches off in this private room of hers, which appeared to be a room inside of her and all the switches were her online systems (i.e., endocrine, nervous, etc.). So this is what I wrote him. I said, "Hey, this gal is shutting down everything inside. It's pre-planned, pre-meditated, a conscious choice on her part."Then I felt or "heard" that I should be finding out what the doctors and specialists should do next. For some unexplainable reason the author Dr. Edgar Cayce popped into my mind at this time and I then understood that she was tricking these doctors and giving them a set of false symptoms as a diversion. She was very clever, very prepared and very focused on her intent. I then felt or heard that I should provide information to the doctors themselves. I should get more information as to what the doctors should do about this dilemma with this woman.

Now, it was at this point my own confidence in myself began to really waver, I thought, oh, my gosh I can't be asking this, these are established, licensed medical professionals; they're not going to listen to me, who am I?!? Still, I just couldn't stop the whole process midway; and so resumed typing. I then added in the email that the doctors should begin psychologically tricking her to reveal her true symptoms and then, finally, they could really get at the root of the issues and help her. I signed my name and hit the SEND button, adding a little prayer as it electronically travelled to the doctor.

Dear Mr. Rose,

 

Regarding your patient, Ms. Lora O'Terry, I sense a similarity to riga
mortis settling into her on an deep emotional level. Her mind is
shutting completely down and there feels (to her) as if there is no hope
of returning. This is a deep soul experience, one which she has
carried forward for some time now.

 

How do you work with this patient?

Please consider getting her to see a big picture of herself in such a
way as to throw her off balance, take her by surprise; not in a harmful
way, but a gentle and loving way. This action may send  her system off
balance temporarily, long enough for you to diagnose more
accurately/precisely... for at that time, her body will take over and
repond with more active physical manifestations of her mental paralysis.

Working backward from there  you can then assist her in achieving and
accepting fully "life" over "death". Gentle guidance in the areas of
self love and self ascceptance, no matter how heinous or grave her past
(and past lives)... is advisable as well.

One Week Later

About a week later I received a response from Mr. Rose thanking me but letting me know my reading was off base.

Dear Deidre,

         "Thanks, Deidre, for your concern. Lora is a very loving person with

a very active, caring mind fully intending to get well. Her symptoms are
mainly physical. Serious weakness and weight loss not attributable to
cancer.

I sat there, after reading his short thank-you-but-no-thank-you note, feeling down and disappointed in myself. I thought I had this intuitive gift, this ability to be psychically connected and I thought I had it sort of figured out how to do it. I guess I was wrong. I guess maybe sometimes it doesn't work or something. And so I sighed, let it go and went on with life.

One Month Later

A month later I received another email from that same doctor. I was very surprised and wondered why he wrote. I clicked it open and read the first line and broke down crying. For a while I could not bear to read further. I could hardly move, I was so devastated.

Dear Deidre,

    You may recall the response I sent you to the letter you sent us about

Lora O'Terry. If not, here it is:

    "Thanks, Deidre, for your concern. Lora is a very loving person with

a very active, caring mind fully intending to get well. Her symptoms are

mainly physical. Serious weakness and weight loss not attributable to

cancer.

  As it turns out, on re-reading your diagnosis, it appears that you were
correct. The tragedy was that of some 20 psychics to whom I wrote, only
you said anything like this and so we did not take it seriously enough.
Instead, my response (above) was essentially that you had missed it
entirely. We continued to look at all other avenues of healing even when
Lora was less than fully cooperative.

    She appeared very honest with us and very spiritual, anxious to get well
and loving the kids. But now we know that during that time she and her
man went to a gun store and arranged to purchase a gun apparently for the
purpose of suicide.

    They had to wait at least 7 days and during that time they hid this from
us completely. On the 8th of January, they went to a notary with a letter
asking that their kids should be raised by my wife and I, but they never
discussed that with us at all, and seeing we are not relatives, it will
not be possible.

    On Jan. 10 the oldest child, Aria (10) was on the phone with her
grandfather begging him to come down here to visit her, but he, being
depressed and all that, refused. The family then decided on the 11th to
drive the 2 - 3 hours north of here to where he lived and visit him for a
few days.

    They planned to leave at 10 a.m. but did not actually get away till
5:30.  Before leaving Lora spent several hours with my wife wanting to
straighten things out re. arguments they had six years before and wanting
us to tell them the whole truth about how we felt about them.

    After they left, they went back to the gun store we knew nothing of and
picked up the .38 pistol. We don't yet know all that happend after that
but they did not arrive at the grandfather's house till around midnight.

    At about 4:00 a.m. of the 12th Lora shot Steve three times and then
shot herself to death also. Only Aria (10) woke up and went to see what
happened but did not believe it. Thinking it was a bad dream she went
back to bed and the bodies were not found till 8:00 a.m. next morning, or
at least so we are told.

    We learned nothing of all this until we received a phone call from a
relative of the grandfather's wife and when she told me there was a
murder/suicide, I could not believe it for some time. My wife and I still
find it all hard to relate to.

    On finding and re-reading your letter (below) I realize that had I taken
it seriously at the time we might have tried to do something more. I
don't know if there was any way we could really have prevented the
tragedy. But none of the other psychics gave us a hint of what was
happening. Looking back there were some minor clues but only if we'd put
those together with  your letter would we have gotten a hint. We didn't.

    Now we are trying to relate somehow to the kids who are presently with
relatives of Lora's father near the town where the parents died. Lora's
mother, all the kids grandmother is in town where we are.

    Aria and Sandy (5) are in counseling with a therapist up north. We
have not yet had enough time with either of them to know what they really
feel. Aria knew they had bought a gun, was scared and wanted to call us
but could not. We don't yet know what happened in the hours between
leaving here and getting to the Grandfather's and what actually went on
there. Police are investigating but will give us little information. They
told us of the letter Lora wrote and notarized re. the kids but we've
not yet seen it.

    Who should care for the kids will probably be decided by a court and we
may have no part in that. I feel that we should and could do a lot with
the older kids who might visit here when the see their grandmother in the
city. Aria and my son (15) are good friends, and that might be
helpful to her.

Dearest Adam,

 

I have been devastated by your email and this tragic outcome. I am so sorry for

this tragedy is worse hearing it from you. Much worse. I am crying so hard I

can hardly type.

 

Your and Lora's family have undergone enormous sorrow. These children will also
need assistance and I will be more than happy to assist you further, in any way.
Remember the mail I wrote regarding past life experiences? These children as well
as yourself and the intertwining of both families, have been happening before. You
however were her father in another experience. That is why you have worked so hard
at loving her in this life, it [the emotion] is drawn very deeply from you.

 

When I received your mail I just broke down crying because I dreaded getting it.

Whatsoever I can do to assist you further, please feel free to contact me. And,
yes, I would love to touch base via phone/land line anytime.

 

Thank you again, Adam, for contacting me with this. I know it was terribly difficult
to write it, let alone live it. My heart aches and goes out for you and your family
and also for Lora's. If you wish, I will also contact Lora to pass messages back
and forth for the girls and for you. Please keep in mind the opportunities are as
limitless as your imagination.

Follow-Up

Afterwards, the family and the doctor asked me to ask her (on the other side of the veil) what happened; to investigate further whether it was a homicide or suicide. However, by then I received a clear message:  "No," not to do this and to let it go. This was hugely traumatic for everyone involved, including me, to say the least; however, what did happen was that I really began to realize that I did indeed have a gift, a gift of second sight, of intuition, of deep knowing.

A Clear Calling

I began to take myself seriously and wanted to help others despite the potential for this kind of emotional pain and trauma. I began to help locate missing children, pets and so on. And my gifts of helping connect loved ones with their family members and friends (and pets) on the other side also blossomed because of this experience; even though in the case of this female patient I did not cross that boundary or line, my gifts really grew. Maybe I did the right thing, karmically, and these gifts grew because of it.

Today, I have accumulated many true and amazing stories to share of events and occurrences, predictions in relationships, travel and more that come true through my readings. I am eternally grateful for these gifts of the Ruach Ha Kodoish to YHWH, Great Creator, Great Spirit, Wakan Tonka and to my I AM. Thank you, thank you, thank you. May peace come to these families and Lora and her family find the salvation of eternal peace.

How Does an Intuitive Connect?

There are many ways to connect with the energetic signature of an individual or group consciousness. When listening to someone speak for example, I listen for the sound of ther personal vibration resonance filtering through their vocal chords. The feeling is like 'coming home'; the client's energies are washed over me, I immerse myself in their vibration, and ta-da the connection is not only made but anchored.

Another way I connect is by holding a personal object (psychometry/touch-know) of the client's. I have held anything from jewelry, photographs, hats and clothing, cell phones, glasses and more. If the reading is not a specific reading on an object, ultimately, my holding their hands is the best physical way of connecting.  

I love working as a psychometrist because everything truly is alive and has a story to tell. The old saying, "If these walls could talk" is actually a reality to a psychometrist/touch-know. In fact, I love to enter old buildings and touch antiques for this very reason. It is as if another world of rich history has opened up with one touch.  

Is it Possible to Be Overwhelmed by Sensory Data?

Yes. I have to do some major shutting down of certain sensory systems otherwise. This is a somewhat automatic process yet it still requires conscious effort and attention. Going shopping in a thrift or antique shop, as a tactile person (love to touch things), if I keep my internal sensors open all the time I get overloaded with everything talking to me, sharing their feelings and stories. I can get very ungrounded and sometimes nauseous, and have make a hasty retreat. Through trial and error I have built up various effective protection methods. In lieu of the above methods, I can 'tap etherically' into your energy field simply by repeating or thinking of you and/or your name. I can receive an email reading request with nothing written (blank) and can give a free unstructured reading on an individual.  

Conversely, a client may offer specific questions, data details, history and background if they prefer. Clients who appear confused and are unclear about what they want have a lot of mixed up, tangled energy cords wrapped around them. Through compassion and patience, I unravel the energy to a degree to be clear on what exactly to 'read' for that individual. Which leads me to this next point... if the client has doubts, skepticism, fears, fears concerning their reading, they are effectively shut down and can be challenging to read. Their negative emotions cloud a clear connection and are transferred over to me.  

In order to get to the meat of the reading, when working with a very skeptical or wary client, sometimes I have to "prove" myself during the entire first half of the session before they open up and let down their guard enough for me to have a clearer view of their real/authentic (higher) vibration. It can be quite a challenge to get past their protective guard but again, through compassion and patience, the magic returns, they are pleasantly surprised and have a wonderful experience.People fear the possibility of hearing doom and gloom info, dis-eases, deaths in the family, lost jobs, etc.

We all have options at every moment, options to do one thing or another as in infinite choices. Whatever is there for you, the strongest options, will be the first piece of information I notice and receive, the most possible or probable outcome. And this can be said about remotely viewing a future timeline of events as well. Sometimes things like death do not come at me directly but rather they are not revealed at all. I have to trust that whatever energies are showing themselves in the reading are for the best and highest good for the client.

How Do I Receive Information?  

We all have our own set of filters. When I see a red light it means 'stop', when I see a green light it means 'go', when I see a raven it means 'magic', and so on. Your higher self/spirit works through me by utilizing my own filters to convey their message back to you. Oftentimes the message is in visual symbolic form, it can be an intense knowing or deep feeling, an audible voice, a clear vision, a big aHA!, or parts of my own body will respond directly to the parts of your body that are in pain. The ways and means of Spirit working through us are infinite.

The Key: It is the Reader's job to stay in integrity, remain clear and listen

What happens when I connect with a crossed over family member, friend or pet? Sometimes if the connection is very strong the crossed over individual will be "visibly" present in their auric field. When this happens it is simply a matter of holding a conversation with them (filled with the rich tapestry of history that individual holds). I think I must have a special connection with crossed over/other side of the veiled ones because I had a very special dream a few years ago about being crossed over myself.

With that said, the ones on the other side are no different than the ones on this side in many respects. They all have important messages and things they want to say to us; most of the time I hear them wanting us to feel that it's okay that they're gone from this side of the veil. Usually they are doing quite well and happily are with other family members. Rarely do I get a being who is so advanced that he/she does something extraordinarily out of the usual on the other side; yet, it does happen.

All in all, whether I am connecting with crossed over beLoveds and pets, yet-to-be-born babies, people's objects, past lives, future timelines, or personal love life, the experience is rewarding and fulfilling, the client receives important information to help them along their spiritual/red road path, and another chance at bridging the gap between worlds has been completed. This work is beautiful, exciting, rewarding and I am grateful to share my gifts and hopefully teach others how to utilize their inherent gifts as well.
