On a very cold and wintery December 8th, in the lobby of the beautiful and historic Collinsville Memorial Public Library, Deidre Madsen held her first official book signing of her AWARD-WINNING **Happily Inner After**, which was a huge success. The library was celebrating its 100th birthday. Ms. Madsen donated copies of her book to the Library in support of their centennial birthday celebration. This was an especially significant event in that this was also her hometown. She had fond memories of this library as a child and was extremely proud to have been a part of their 100th celebration.

❦ You can write many books on relationships, but all of them focus on the relationship itself instead of the major individual involved: you. This instantly won me over solely for this fact. In order to have a healthy relationship, you need to personally be healthy and happy with that person you see in the mirror.

The author is extremely encouraging in all of her tips and exercises. I am currently stuck in my own personal "Groundhog Day" from getting over my last relationship. I am trying to figure out how to get out of it right now. I'm definitely going to begin to try to do the exercises.

❦ What a wonderful and unique way to view one's self and improve a relationship! I have just finished reading this book, having been engrossed by it's rich and insightful contents, and I have taken so many lessons away and given them room in my daily life. I appreciate the depth of knowledge that the author shares and the applicable explanations for some of the problems I have been facing with my partner. The book balances neatly a wealth of learning and an all too familiar story of experience from Deidre herself, which allowed me to absorb the info rather than stare blankly at pages of quotes and statistics. I loved the section about "Repetition Compulsion" which simply explains how easy it is for each of us to make the same mistakes in every relationship, and learning about the two hemispheres of our brain and our emotions - especially fear and the problems that can create. What I loved most about this book is that ultimately, as the title suggests, this will teach you how your success and happiness will grow from inside, that it all begins in your inner self. ❦ I just finished my dear friend Deidre Madsen’s new book Happily Inner After and I feel like a different person. This is not your ordinary relationship book about all the tricks that you need to do to keep your man (and lose yourself in the process).
