Nectar

Isn't love, too,
proclaimed to be at it's most
dangerous
when new,
like the poison of a
young snake?

And which is the greater danger?

Love, leaning nearby, musky and aromatic,
or the capable length of a snake?

From either tongue
drips nectar from the body
like dew
from the bud.

If you had learnt to think about the gestures of day-to-day life and interpret them, you would have understood that we are merely repeating the process of incarnation, the descent into matter, and then the process of disincarnation, the ascent towards the spirit.

When we get dressed we put on the thinnest, lightest clothes first - vest, shirt, and so on - and the heavy overcoat last, in the same way that in order to descend to earth we enter increasingly dense bodies until we get to the physical body. And we do the reverse to go back up towards the spirit.

If human beings have not yet managed to know themselves as they truly are, it is because they are covered in several thick layers.
